    Privacy Policy — Designodeal

    Last Updated: September 26, 2025

    This Privacy Policy explains how Designodeal (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use or purchase from our website (the “Site”). We primarily serve customers in the United States, but this policy also includes information for visitors from the European Economic Area (“EEA”) and the United Kingdom (“UK”).

    1) Information We Collect

    • Identifiers & Contact Info: name, email, shipping/billing address.
    • Order & Payment Info: products purchased, order history, payment details (processed by our payment provider).
    • Device/Usage Data: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring URLs, timestamps, approximate location.
    • Marketing & Cookies: cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies for analytics, personalization, and advertising.
    • Customer Service: messages you send us and related metadata.

    Sensitive Personal Information: We do not intentionally collect or use “sensitive” personal information (e.g., precise geolocation, health, biometric) beyond what is necessary to provide our services. Where applicable, you may have the right to limit the use and disclosure of such information.

    2) How We Use Information

    • Process and fulfill orders; provide customer support and order updates.
    • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud or abuse.
    • Improve our Site, products, operations, and user experience.
    • Personalize content and marketing (including cross-device/behavioral signals where permitted).
    • Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
    • Enable Shopify Network Intelligence “Enhanced Services” (see below).

    Lawful Basis for Processing (GDPR/UK GDPR)

    If you are in the EEA/UK, we process your personal information under these lawful bases:

    • Contract: To provide our services and fulfill orders.
    • Legal obligation: To comply with laws and regulations.
    • Legitimate interests: To improve services, prevent fraud, and support marketing (not overridden by your rights).
    • Consent: Where you have explicitly consented (e.g., certain marketing).

    3) Shopify, Hosting, and Enhanced Services (Shopify Network Intelligence)

    Our store is hosted on Shopify. When Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled, Shopify may securely use our customer data together with data from other merchants to generate insights that power advanced features (“Enhanced Services”)—for example: improved store performance, fraud detection, analytics, and more effective advertising/personalization.

    • Shopify may process and combine cross-merchant data to create aggregated insights, risk scores, and analytics that help merchants (including us) improve operations and marketing.
    • To enable Enhanced Services, we share certain customer information with Shopify and, where necessary, with Shopify’s service providers (which may be located in or outside the U.S.).
    • Learn how Shopify handles consumer data and rights here: Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and Shopify Privacy Controls.

    4) Sharing Your Information

    We share your Personal Information with service providers to help us provide our services and fulfill our contracts with you, for example:

    • We use Shopify to power our online store. More on Shopify’s privacy practices: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.
    • We may share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request, or to protect our rights.
    • We may share order-related information with our shipping and delivery providers to complete fulfillment.
    • We use Google Analytics to understand how customers use the Site. Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Opt out of Google Analytics: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

    5) Cookies, Tracking, and Behavioural Advertising

    We use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, analytics, and advertising. As described above, we may share information about your use of the Site, your purchases, and your interaction with our ads with advertising partners. Some data is collected directly; some via cookies or similar technologies (which you may consent to depending on your location).

    For more about interest-based advertising, see the Network Advertising Initiative’s page: http://www.networkadvertising.org/understanding-online-advertising/how-does-it-work.

    Do Not Track (DNT): Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. We do not respond to DNT signals. We do honor legally required universal opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) as described below.

    Behavioural Advertising Opt-Outs

    You can opt out of targeted advertising by:

    Additionally, the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out portal: http://optout.aboutads.info/.

    6) Targeted Advertising, “Sharing,” and State Law Opt-Out

    Certain U.S. state laws give residents the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, including use for targeted advertising. If you are a resident of such a state, you can exercise that right here:

    Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

    Global Privacy Control (GPC): Where required by law, we treat a valid GPC signal as a request to opt out of targeted advertising and “sharing” for that browser.

    If you opt out, we (and Shopify, for Enhanced Services) will stop using your personal data for targeted advertising or “sharing,” to the extent required by applicable law. Core processing (e.g., fulfilling orders, fraud prevention) will continue.

    7) Profiling & Automated Decision-Making

    We may use automated tools (algorithms, machine learning) to help detect fraud, personalize experiences, or measure performance. Where required by law, you can object to profiling or request human review by emailing service@designodeal.com.

    8) Data Transfers & International Processing

    Our providers (including Shopify) may process data outside your state or country. We rely on contractual safeguards and reasonable security measures to help protect personal information during transfers.

    EEA/UK Transfers: If we transfer your personal information outside the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission or the UK, or other legal transfer mechanisms.

    9) Data Retention

    We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above (e.g., fulfilling orders, accounting, legal obligations). When no longer needed, we delete or de-identify information subject to our technical and legal constraints (e.g., backups, fraud prevention).

    10) Security

    We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit where appropriate, and data minimization. No security program is perfect; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

    11) Your Privacy Rights (U.S. State Laws)

    Depending on your U.S. state of residence, you may have the right to:

    • Access the personal information we maintain about you;
    • Correct inaccurate personal information;
    • Delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions;
    • Opt out of targeted advertising, data “sharing,” or certain profiling;
    • Limit use/disclosure of sensitive personal information where applicable;
    • Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

    Verification & Authorized Agents: We may need to verify your identity (for example, by confirming control of your email) before fulfilling a request. You may authorize an agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may require proof of authorization and verification of your identity.

    Appeals: If we deny your request, you may appeal by emailing service@designodeal.com with the subject line “Privacy Request Appeal.” We will review and respond within the time required by applicable law.

    To exercise any rights, use the link above or email us at service@designodeal.com.

    EEA & UK Rights (GDPR/UK GDPR)

    If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have the right to:

    • Access the personal information we hold about you;
    • Request correction of inaccurate personal information;
    • Request deletion of your personal information;
    • Restrict or object to certain processing, including profiling;
    • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
    • Request data portability for information you provided to us.

    You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. A list of EEA authorities: https://ec.europa.eu/justice/article-29/structure/data-protection-authorities/index_en.htm. In the UK, the supervisory authority is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.

    12) Children

    Our Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

    13) Changes to This Policy

    We may update this policy as our practices and laws evolve. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date and, where required, provide additional notice.
